To be exact, there is a narrow window of only 2 days - March 22-23 - which is the best time of the year, if not the next 12 years, to cut the hair - if you want full, shiny mane, of course, and a new chapter where you honor every bit of your essence.

According to the natural spiral of death and rebirth, the Spring Equinox opens the portal of Spring - beginning of new cycle, growth and awakening.

According to the Chinese astrology, on January 28 we have entered the year of the Yin Wood Snake. The snake is a symbol of shedding the old skin and transformation. This year the snake is in the Wood element, which corresponds with the Spring season and represents growth and abundance.

Wood Element opens the window of opportunity for the next 3 months (until Summer Solstice) to heal and bolster any aspects of our health and areas of our life that are connected to this element. This also means that the Yin Wood Snake is going to be particularly working her magic through us in this time period. It truly is the golden opportunity.

The hair on the head carries a Yin energy of the Water, the element which is connected to winter. Winters can be hard on us, and our hair, so releasing some of the weight off our heads could bring a much needed “fresh start”.
